Finnish Architecture and Design Days are celebrated on the first week of February, highlighting the significance of architecture and design in our daily lives. The theme in 2024 is “In a Good Space”. The ArcDesign festival offers more than 50 events around Finland, such as presentations, seminars, guided tours, launches, workshops and documentaries, as the annual DocPoint festival in Helsinki.
It’s great to have such an event. I enjoy architecture and design. We have beautiful design furniture in our home, such as legendary Artek High Chair K65. You can find lots of spectacular architecture in my home town Helsinki from 1700s to this day. It’s delightful to stroll around the city and observe all the details in the art nouveau buildings, for example. And to photograph it, of course!
